Tampa Campus – Pre-Licensure BSN Programs
Aspen started our first Tampa core nursing group in June 2021. Didactic courses, simulations, labs, and seminars are delivered in the hybrid format. Students will engage in the required coursework both online and on-ground, while linical rotations are delivered face-to-face.
There are six hospital beds in the skills lab and the simulated hospital includes four hospital rooms with hospital beds and the simulated environment. Additionally, students will engage in high-fidelity simulations where they will carry out required care. There are six doctor office rooms and a home health room staged like an apartment so that students may engage in simulation care experiences in a simulated homecare setting.

Bayfront HMA Medical Center in Tampa/St. Petersburg is a 480-bed teaching hospital, and the only state-designated Level II adult and pediatric trauma center in Pinellas County. Clinical rotations at Bayfront include medical, surgical, obstetrics, and geriatrics.
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Tampa/St. Petersburg provides expert pediatric care for infants, children, and teens in its 259-bed hospital, providing care in over 50 specialties. It is the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s West Coast.
Aspen also maintains clinical affiliation agreements with Care Connections at Home and Global Nurse Network, and the American Red Cross. These agreements round out the competencies taught through clinicals to also include community health and psychiatric.
I think Aspen University is special from other universities. The school focuses on the dedication and motivation of students, faculty, and staff. Our Tampa campus is brand new and offers state-of-the-art high-tech fidelity simulators and individual hospital simulator rooms, including a home health firm. The simulator is staged to look like an apartment so that students may receive real-life scenarios and practice implementing the care in a safe, educational environment.
