What is the Capstone Project?

Aspen University’s’ MEd capstone project requires the student to engage with an actual educational setting. It aligns with the academic focus and concentration of the degree program as well as relates to the student’s career interests by allowing the student to conduct research and act as a principal investigator and project leader. The capstone project allows the student to apply the tools, theories, knowledge, and skills drawn from the disciplinary coursework in the MEd core and other concentration courses. This overall goal of the capstone involves the integration and synthesis of the student’s learning, as well as the application of learning to real-world problems.

Admission Requirements

  • Application – A completed application.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Transcripts – Official transcript demonstrating a conferred bachelor’s degree from an institution that is accredited by a CHEA recognized accrediting body or an international equivalent with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
  • Military Documentation (Optional) – A copy of the most recent orders; or a copy of DD214 (This can be requested from the National Archives.)
